Lou Holtz

Lou Holtz is a retired American football coach, best known for making a career of inspiring his players and motivating them to become winners. In 1969, he took his first head-coaching position and has since established himself as one of the most successful college football coaches of all time, with a resume including: The College of William & Mary, North Carolina State University and the University of Notre Dame to name a few. Among his many accomplishments, Holtz is currently the only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games and guide four different programs to the final top 20 rankings.

Holtz is a goal-oriented individual and through his speeches conveys the importance of goal setting; he motivates people to work hard and always strive for excellence. He believes in assessing strengths, working as a team and embracing values. Holtz’s advice encourages audiences to bring out their very best.

Lou has authored best-selling books, including, “Winning Every Day: The Game Plan for Success,” “The Fighting Spirit: A Championship Season at Notre Dame” and “Wins, Losses, and Lessons: An Autobiography.” He’s also produced three highly acclaimed motivational videos. Holtz currently shares his knowledge, a direct result of his many years of experience, through ESPN as a college football coverage analyst.
